Anthony V. Benedetto, D.O., FACP, is currently Clinical Professor of Dermatology, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Benedetto is the founder and medical director of the Dermatologic Surgi Center in Philadelphia, PA and in Drexel Hill, PA, where he practices Mohs Surgery and Cosmetic and Procedural Dermatologic Surgery and is the director of fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. Dr. Benedetto holds membership and committee positions in many national and international dermatologic societies and is currently the North American Vice President of the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, Secretary/Treasurer of the History of Dermatology Society, Vice President and Secretary General of the North American Clinical Dermatologic Society and Past President of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is on the Editorial Board of Skin Med, and the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. He was named 'Dermatologist of the Year' for 2009 by the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Benedetto has authored or co-authored 69 articles in peer review journals, 14 chapters in textbooks, and edited 3 editions of a textbook on botulinum toxins.
